Happy Halloween!

Halloween night we met the Worsham's, the Gilchrist's & Irma (Kate & Maddy's Grandma) at Wabi Sabi for dinner before heading out to collect some candy. We had a great time with everyone & we even got candy from the restaurant. Before we headed over to trick-or-treat we stopped by the house to get dad a jacket. By the time we got there Kate was scared & went trick-or-treating with her Grandma Irma. That left Me, Maddy, mom, dad, Del, Connie, Frank & Barbara to walk the neighborhood for some treats. We met up with Kate & Irma before the end of the night & compared loot. Kate had the most.
Thanks for checking in.
Love,
Jake

Here we are!

All it takes is mom to comfort me & I am better.

Are you serious when you say no more candy?

Preparing for Halloween

This was Tuesday after Vegas. We just got home the day before and the pumpkin carving went out the window when we got invited to Del & Connie's for dinner. So when we got home mom gave me a sharpie and I made a face on my pumpkin. I had a great time coloring all over the pumpkin including the stem. Then it was time for the test run of Halloween costume. I was spider man. We did have a bit of trouble with my mask and my being able to see. But we made it work.
Check back soon.
Love,
Jake

My Happy pumpkin face.

Adding a few more touches.

Even to the stem.

These are my finger puppets I made at school.

My Halloween decorations.

Spider man getting his mask put on.

I can't see.

That's better.

Mom cut the eye slots bigger & it helped a bit.

But not for long.

So, Spider man doesn't have to have the mask over his eyes.

The cutest Spider man ever.

Still trying to get the mask to cooperate.

And it's not.

Racing in Vegas

As the end of the racing season nears I know it means I get to go to the races. First was Vegas. Papa Don also came out to this race which was nice since we hadn't seen him since Topeka in June. We had a great time but it was the beginning of a very hectic schedule. Now you know why we had so much to get caught up on.
Love,
Jake

After a long day I fell asleep with my dragsters. Thanks Allison!

Me & Papa Don

Check me out with my headphones on.

If mom doesn't have the headphones fingers work just as well.

Making a silly face.

Mom must have told me no so I went to Susie.

The Denner Men.

3rd Night in Big Boy Bed

Here is the shot I mentioned in the Big Boy Bed post. This is night 3 of sleeping in my big boy bed & we don't' know how it happened but when mom came in the next morning to get me up for school this is where she found me. They aren't sure if I was walking around the room & couldn't find my way back to bed so I just laid down & went to sleep or what. They never heard a crash or thud over the baby monitor that night. So it will forever remain a mystery.

Thanks for checking in.

Love,
Jake

Pumpkin Patch

The day after our Newport Adventure, Del & Connie called to see if mom & dad wanted to take me to the pumpkin patch with the girls (Kate & Maddy). They said yes & here is our adventure. There are a lot of pictures but sometimes pictures say more than words.

Love & Check in soon,
Jake

We got there & I ran straight for the pumpkins.

Checking out the pumpkins.

Maddy (Left) Me (Middle) Kate (Right)

I got to drive a John Deer tractor

Maddy got to ride a 4 Wheeler.

So did Kate.

But I liked the tractor. It was more my size.

Not sure about the hay ride to the pumpkin patch.

The Worsham's

The Denner's

The Pumpkin Cannon.
I think Dad & Del liked that the best.

On our "hay" ride to the pumpkins.

(Note there was no hay)

Here we are in the corn maze.

We made it to the middle.

YEAH!!!

Now to pick out the perfect pumpkin.
Kate found hers.

Maddy carrying hers to get it checked out.

I can't decide.

How about two!

I wanted to push the wheel barrow &
I wasn't going to let Connie get in my way.

Dad gave me a hand with the pumpkin filled wheel barrow.

Here is my pumpkin.

Kate found hers.

So did Maddy.
Connie & Kate looking for another good one.

Maddy organizing our pumpkins.

Wait I found one more

If I could just get it to the wheel barrow.

Hey, can someone give me a hand over here please.

Forget about pushing, I would rather ride.
Our strong daddies taking our pumpkins to the car.
