Yard Sale Day

Today is Yard Sale day. Mom & Grandma got up early to post signs & get things pulled out onto the driveway. They said people were asking where they were located & when they opened when they were hanging the signs. Sounds like success to me. The only fear was RAIN (the 4 letter word we hate in racing) after record high temps for weeks on end there was a chance of rain (a pretty good one at that). They had a huge crowd right off & that progressed as waves of people throughout the day. I was a huge help but not trying to take my toys back in the house while they were trying to sell them. But mom said we needed to make room for more big boy toys after we got moved. I was good with that since she didn't sell everything I owned.

The sale was to be from 8am - 2 pm. but with the threatening skies they decided mom would go & take down the signs & pick up lunch (my favorite "Old" McDonald's - to the rest of you it is probably just McDonald's) By the time she got back dad & Grandma had everything pulled in & the garage door shut. It was over - Success!

We had our lunch & proceeded to pack up the stuff we didn't sell for Goodwill & take a break. The rains did come at about 1:50pm when mom & grandma were heading to the bank to cash in. Although it wasn't a lot of rain it was wet outside.

Which brings me to another adventure I was preparing to have. Camping!
I haven't been camping in a tent as of yet so Dad promised that we could camp in the back yard on Saturday night. But there were a couple of problems. Rain & Dad was sick too. He came down with some form of what mom had only with a sore throat too. So camping was relegated to the living room floor with Grandma. Which was fine with me. It was exciting & Grandma was a great camping partner. I think the floor was a little hard for her to sleep on & she ended up getting back on the couch sometime in the night, or maybe it was my snoring?

Anyway it was great having Grandma here along with dad & mom.
Check back often.
Love,
Jake

Playing with a toy one last time.

Dad was in charge of getting me ready today.
Not to bad.

Watching dad with his phone.

What do you do with moving boxes.
Cut them open & make a great slide on the stairs.
(Flash didn't go off so I had to lighten this picture a lot)
Ready to slide!

This was a blast!

I love dad's hat.

In charge of tent set up.
The tent was a wedding present from "Uncle Shane"
(or cousin Shane to mom & dad) almost 9 years ago.
This was the first time it was used.
It will be used more now if I have anything to say about it.
Inside the tent preparing for bed.

This is how you do it.

Trying to escape from the bears that got into the tent with me!
